Hi. I’m Eleanor Epsom, the newest hire here at Spent. I’ll be in the art department as a staff photographer - and when I say “I’ll be”, I mean I am right now and that’s where I’m typing this from while I wait for some shots to upload. Speaking of waiting for uploads, let me launch into a very mild vent. I love digital photography but sometimes I miss the days when I was in college and got to hang out in the darkroom. That’s not a euphemism. I realize now it sounded like one, but honestly. I wasn’t doing anything untoward in the darkroom either, we left that to the slutty girls. They had all the fun.
You can call me Ellie, by the way, I hate ‘Eleanor’. It’s so old ladyish. When I have kids - if, I mean - I’m going to complete the circle by giving them horrendously aging names like Betty and Maude. (I heard Maude is back in fashion but that’s by the by, it doesn’t make it any more palatable.) Wait, I’ve rethought Maude. Blanche. I’m going to name my children after the Golden Girls. Even if they’re boys. Because I can. You don’t care, why am I still typing? It’s like the interface is so welcoming it forces me to keep writing. And that was the nerdiest thing I’ve ever written.
So, yeah. To conclude: Ellie, 26, staff photographer. I think that’s all you need, but if you want my favorite color or the precise longitudinal co-ordinates of my apartment... I would say ‘just ask’ but honestly, that’s just a little too creepy even for me to answer politely.
